RESPONSIBLE: Made from sustainable sourced agri-waste: Banana fibers. These fibers are normally left as waste or burned, which either contributes to environmental pollution or waste. In a paradigm-shifting approach to sustainability, these discarded plant materials are repurposed to create the high-quality, durable fibres used in our Travel. This ingenious method is a testament to the potential of sustainable and regenerative practices in the textile and manufacturing industries, demonstrating how waste can be transformed into a product of superior quality without compromising on ethical values. This is the first product using a waste fiber and turned into and exclusive handbag, by a mix of technology and craftmanship in great collaboration with Fair Trade supplier Selyn Textiles, whom has 32 years commitment to fair trade mixed with the 2500 years old artisanal craft of handloom in Sri Lanka. The collaboration between Nikolaj Storm, Selyn Textiles, and PaperTale underlines that transparency is an evolving journey requiring action alongside commitments. This pioneering initiative sets a new benchmark for the fashion industry, proving that the journey towards a sustainable, traceable, and transparent future has well and truly begun.

UPSTORMED: As part of our upstormed program you will find unique pieces made from leftover scraps form sampling production and bulk production, but can also contain material from previous deadstock collections and vintage pieces. Made from waste banana fibers and organic cotton.
